I'd Rather Have Roses On My Table Than Diamonds On My Neck?

Not really, but I do love roses. Roses are known for their exclusive beauty and fragrance.
Roses are the the most popular flowers in the world.
Roses have been symbols of love, beauty, war and politices from the beginning of time.
Above are my Red Knock Out Rose's. Aren't they lovely?
Poppys are beautiful. I love their vivid orange color with black centers. We have a pair of Purple Martin's that are living in this bird house. That is very unusual, because they love high places and this house was set low in my Oak Tree. Welcome!

Sneak Preview
The cookbook is finished! At least my part. I think it turned out great. It now needs to be bound and set to print.
While I was putting this cookbook together, I needed to ask myself who will use it, and how I can best compile my ideas and recipes to serve that audience.
I entered all the recipes (with pictures) and added touches and sprinkles of love, quotes and scriptures.
Check out the sneak preview above. It is just a small part of what is included in this Dancing Wind Berry Farm Cookbook.
Coming soon to your home to enjoy.

Dancing Wind Berry Farms

I have a very dear friend who started a blueberry farm last year. She has over 1,000 bushes! Last year I was privledged to pick on this beautiful farm on top of a hill which is a gorgeous site to behold.

Today they are planting 210 raspberry plants, both red, purple and black. Also 450 more blueberry plants which will be planted in April.

Blueberries are gaining in popularity among health-conscious consumers due to their high levels of disease-fighting antioxidants. Blueberries are also high in vitamin C and have been used for thousands of years as part of the native Indian diet. Plus they are juicy and delicious to the palate.

I have to give Bill, Julie's husband credit too. He helped plant these bushes and mowes the grass between the numerous rows each spring and summer. I need for everyone to mark their calendars for June 19th, 2010. Starting at 8am to 11am the farm is having a breakfast, which will include, blueberry pancakes, blueberry smothies, made by yours truly, and waffles. An added feature will be Bill's antique tractors. I'm sure that the children and grown ups alike will enjoy this site.
The farm is located at: 1289 Rockfield Browning Road in Rockfield Kentucky.

Psalm 90:17 says: " Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands."

See you there!

Our Home - Our Sanctuary
We bought our home new five years ago. It was filled with builder quality material that we have been trying to replace room by room.

Bathroom floor tiles come in many different disigns, colours, shapes, sizes and materials. I think the bathroom is one room in the house that screams out for tile.

Our hall bathroom is small, but smart looking with the new tile. Framing the mirror (which

my husband did) and the new paint finished it off.

What blogging means to me

Blogging is perhaps the most popular method of writing on the web - it's an example of citizen journalism and self expression at it's finest.

My relationship with my blogging readers is what keeps me writing online. When I don't write, I'm thinking of what to write next. Personally, I can't write that fast, unless I want to post a laundry list of anything. But who's going to read a post written in haste?

It matters too that I make a positive difference in you - however small that might be. Have I made you feel a little better - maybe you left smiling or in deep thought. I will keep on blogging as long as I have something to say or a cause to fight for.

My advice to you: Keep on blogging!

A Wedding Weekend...

I love to have my expectations exceeded! Surely the "Luck of the Irish" was with us on Saturday. Cold temperatures, but no snow or rain. Pictures were taken, spirits were high. It was a beautiful wedding.

Children make a delightful addition to any wedding celebration. Brad's nephews, Landen 5, and Alex 4, were the snowflake boy and ring bearer respectively. Meagan's nephew, Thomas 2, didn't make it down the aisle, but did well for pictures. I'm sure their enthusiasm and excitement equaled, if not exceeded, that of the other attendants.
