Dancing Wind Berry Farms

I have a very dear friend who started a blueberry farm last year. She has over 1,000 bushes! Last year I was privledged to pick on this beautiful farm on top of a hill which is a gorgeous site to behold.

Today they are planting 210 raspberry plants, both red, purple and black. Also 450 more blueberry plants which will be planted in April.

Blueberries are gaining in popularity among health-conscious consumers due to their high levels of disease-fighting antioxidants. Blueberries are also high in vitamin C and have been used for thousands of years as part of the native Indian diet. Plus they are juicy and delicious to the palate.

I have to give Bill, Julie's husband credit too. He helped plant these bushes and mowes the grass between the numerous rows each spring and summer. I need for everyone to mark their calendars for June 19th, 2010. Starting at 8am to 11am the farm is having a breakfast, which will include, blueberry pancakes, blueberry smothies, made by yours truly, and waffles. An added feature will be Bill's antique tractors. I'm sure that the children and grown ups alike will enjoy this site.
The farm is located at: 1289 Rockfield Browning Road in Rockfield Kentucky.

Psalm 90:17 says: " Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands."

See you there!
