I'm Recognizing... My Husband

Saturday, David and I will celebrate thirty one years of marriage. You know the poem by: Elizabeth Barrett Browning; How doI love thee? Let me count the ways. That's how I feel about David. He is quite unique. I often say when God made you, he broke the mold. Through two beautiful children, grandchildren, smiles, tears, and all of our life together. How wonderful that you will always be my lover-friend. Love Always,

What My Godmother Meant To Me
My Aunt Bette was one of ten children. Now there are only two left. I think how sad. How I miss them all. My mother was the first born and Aunt Anne was the last and is still with us along with Uncle Charles. Thank God! How short life really is when you think about it. What counts are those wonderful memories with loved ones. I have lots of loving memories of my Aunts and Uncles.

My Godmother offered kindness and greetings with a hug and kiss. Each freely out of love which I will miss. How fortunate I was, how blessed I've been, you were more than a Godmother. In my thoughts, you will always remain. I love you and will miss you~

Sauna vs. Steam Room
Jennifer and I always go to the gym after Sunday church, and spend a couple of hours together. It seems like none of us has time for the other. So we get our workout done and decide to finish up in the sauna. Come to find out its not working. Whats the problem? So we go over to the steam room. I am not a fan of the steam room. Even though they're both basically hot baths, saunas use dry heat and a steam room uses moist heat. Saunas have very low humidity, which means they can be much hotter than a steam room. They're usually between 80 C and 100 C which is perfectly safe because they use dry heat. On the other hand a steam room is usually about 40 C. If the steam room was much hotter than that it could scald your skin! That would probably ruin what should be a relaxing and pleasurable experience, you think?

Jackson's Orchard

Brad came home for the weekend, so we all decided since it was a cool fallish day, to spend some time at Jackson's Orchard on Saturday afternoon. They had plenty of eats, like carmel apples, apple cider, peach ice cream and the list goes on. We stuffed ourselves full, and then headed over to the children's playground. Wow! Loads of things to do here. I think the boys favorite thing was the slide and the hay bales that they have set up, and you jump from one bale to the other. It was a fun time and we made some memories!  Thats the most important thing.

The Health Benefits Of A Wirlpool

Whirlpool baths are not just for health clubs. Tubs with jets are standard in many new homes. Whirlpool tubs are used in many rehab centers and spas for relaxation. In the early 1900's mental institutons in the United States used whirlpool tubs to calm agitated, out-of-control patients.
A warm water whirlpool bath increases vasoditation, and allows nutrients to flow more freely in your bloodstream. Pain relief is achieved by soaking in a warm whirlpool. It relaxes the muscles and relieves arthritis pain.
This gym I am going to is just great. I go 4 to 5 days a week and try to get in, sauna, whirlpool, pool, yoga classes, treadmill and workout machines. My work at home may not get done, but I am feeling fantastic!   Is it worth it? Yes, definately.

Before And After

More often than not, garages are not used for storing automobiles. They fall into disarray and become the catchall for unwanted and unneeded items.
Now our garage is nice and clean... even though we are planning to install more shelves, at least it looks nicer than before, and the paint was a steal at Lowes for $5 dollars. Wouldn't you agree?

Exploring

Landen has a drone bee on his hand. Not to worry! Drone (male) bees do not sting, because they do not have a stinger. Isn't he brave though? The worker bees, this time of year, are thrownig out all the drones. Poor male bees. Sometimes nature can be cruel.

The praying mantis is named for it's prominent front legs, which are bent and held together at an angle that suggests the position of prayer.
Typically green or brown and well camouflaged on the plants among which they live, mantis lie in ambush or patiently stalk their quarry. Moths, crickets, flies and insects are usually the unfortunate recipients.

Honey_Card

Straight From The Hive

Remember a few post back, I took my pears and put them in my blender to puree. Set this dish out for my bees to enjoy, and they didn't even touch it. All that work just for them. They have me stumped. I now have the colony that will winter over. Pray they make it through the winter.

Ah, September ... This is the month to celebrate the sweetest gift of nature-honey, of course! This one, simple ingredient is all-natural, delicious and versatile. Welcome to National Honey Month!

Green honey glow mask
4 cups spinach
1 cup fresh mint
3 tab. honey

Sauna Soothing (Cleanse Your Body With Ease)
Here I am in living color, and loving every minute of it as you can see. I think the sauna is one of my favorite places to be. I know you think, WOW; she is strange! It gives me such a good feeling when I come out detoxifying my skin, which is the largest organ, and it also plays an important role in eliminating undesirable toxins, relieves pain and stress.

As you bask in the comforts of the sauna, your body is actually hard at work keeping constant core temperatures. It also rids your body of cellulite, and you can feel those extra pounds melt away.I can handle that.

Yoga Classes

Yesterday was my first day of Yoga. What to expect? I wasen't sure, but I love it. Below are pretty much the moves. The practice of Yoga has many health benefits associated with it.Yoga practice massages internal organs, thus improving the ability of the body to prevent disease. Also Yoga improves blood curculation. By transporting nutrients and oxygen throughout your body, Yoga practice provides healthier organs, skin and brain. The concentration required during Yoga practice tends to focus your attention on the matter at hand, thereby reducing the emphasis you may have been putting on the stress in your life. Breathing is an essential part of Yoga. I haven't gotten that down pat yet. Also, some of the Yoga practice is quite difficult. We have a class of 15 to 20 and pretty much fills the room. Our teacher is a counselor at  Western. She seems quite knowledgeable on the subject.  She teaches the class on Tuesdays and Fridays. I wish I could attend both classes, but with everything I have going on, once a week will have to do. I would highly recommend this class.

Deer,Deer, Everywhere Deer

I just had to catch these deer pictures. Above is a white tail doe with her 2 fawns. Can you believe right in Brad and Meagan's backyard? This house is in the middle of a busy neighborhood. I think this
area is overloaded with deer, but they are so beautiful. Catch the last picture. Are we having deer burgers for dinner? What do you think?

I put this house picture on my blog, which I took from the car, which didn't turn out and I couldn't delete it. I am defiinately switching to Word Press when I get chance to read up on the subject. Anyway, it is so unusual I thought you might be interested in seeing it. If you can see it!

Good Morning Monday

Sunday we went to the lake to catch the people being baptized. Godstock is Hillvue's annual weekend of camping and outdoor fun and worship.. This year is Godstock 18. The weekend consists of spending time with church family singing, praising God , and fellowship. The campgrounds are open and the lodge. Some families rent a cottage. It is a great time. We had friends who were baptized, and one of my kindergarten girls that I teach on Sunday morning was baptized too. Yes!

Of course when you have sand, you have to play in it. As you can see Alex and Landen were busy boys.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

A Colorful Cartoon of a Woman Working Out on a Treadmill - Royalty Free Clipart Picture

First Day Workout At The Gym
I remember back. I do that often, when I went to the gym, you just went in your T shirts and sweats. Well now you have to match. These daring tops and short bottoms I suppose are made to show off. I am there for one reason only. To get fit.

I found out the first day there are the  muscle squads. These are the ones who think muscles are everything. Even their head seems to have inflated to make space for any more muscles that may be on its way.

Then there are the dwindlers and dawlers. This bunch doesn't want to be in the gym in the first place. They are the ones who are pushed into the gym by their partners or loved ones because they don't seem to fit into their pants anymore.

I just want to focus on getting in shape. Taking those lumpy thighs and scrawny muscles to a whole new level. Wish me Luck!

KINESIS 2

I Took The Plunge
As you know, I have been walking and jogging 2 miles 4 times a week. Thinking what is going to happen when cold weather strikes, like rains today, tomorrow and Thursday. Totalfitness Connection is having a special today with no enrollment fees, and membership is affordable. I was impressed that one monthly fee includes all classes that you may want to take. Yoga classes, Aqua Fit, Wet Work, Zumba, Sweatshop, 6 Pack, Cardio Chisel and on and on it goes. I love the whirlpool, saunas, and steam room. Also the indoor heated lap pool looks great too. How about an indoor game of Soccer, Tennis, or Volleyball.

Transform your body-Find your potential- Change your life. I don't know about all that, but I am ready to get fit.
