 Graber dealer With Son
Graber Shutter
I am so excited! My shutter was installed today. So you say; So What? I say I have waited 3 months for this shutter to come in. It makes the room complete. You have no idea what a process this was. The previous owner said he bought them at Lowes. I don't think so. Or at least they have no record of it. Why would he put shutters in all the bedrooms except one side window in the master suite? Beats me! But it is installed, and looks great.

 Daffodils
 Our Backyard
 Our Backyard

DAFFODILS
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
   A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A Poet could not but be gay,
   In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
   Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

This past weekend we went to Cincinnati. It was beautiful weather and we visited several shops downtown and of course they have fantastic parks down by the Ohio River which makes a perfect back drop. We had a great time!

Look at this beautiful Pink Lady. It is situated in the Columbian Tusculum area of Cincinnati.

White Stone Quarry

“How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful!” (Song of Songs 1:15a) Might we do the same?

We need to raise the bar for our marriages. For the sake of our children. To please our God. Even for our own happiness, we need to learn what it means to cherish our spouse and put it into practice. When marriage gets difficult, it’s easy to focus on our commitment to love — but we also promised to cherish. I don’t want my spouse to think I’m with her just because it would be wrong to leave her; I promised to cherish her, and I’m determined to follow through on that promise.

 Bathroom wallpaper peeled
New tile flooring, new paint
New vanity
This bathroom was not a pretty site. The wallpaper was peeling, and we had  some mold issues. Just a tad of bleach, paint and  a new vanity put this bathroom in the 21st century.

Happy Valentines Day

Is this not the cutest picture you have ever seen. Micah is trying to read the Valentine card I sent him. If you haven't gotten to your favorite store for some sweets, you may not get what you want. Its out of control out there.

 White Paper Walls
 English Red
The crown Molding and the red walls accent each other. What a difference paint, crown molding, and bamboo flooring make. This room is big so it can stand a dark paint. Love it...   love it... love it!

TRANSFORMATION
What a difference right! Let me start at the beginning. I wanted a fireplace. I love the thought of a wood burning fire on a cold day. Or a snowy one. Well, I had the makings of one, it was just dressing it up. So I started from scratch. Searched everywhere for a mantle. Wow! Those things are expensive. So I decided to head on down to Habitat for Humanity. I found 3 mantels. I chose the black one. I knew it had potential. I had my trusty guy Jason to work his magic, and here it is.  I love the colors. Jason painted the mantel antique white, and the fireplace stone grey. Wait till you see the walls!

And Now Onto The Kitchen
I can't find the before pictures of the kitchen. But can you imagine with me how this kitchen did look. Hickory cabinets that are 35 years old.. a yellowed vinyl floor... wallpaper of a stripe and flower assortment... and a ugly stainless steel sink. Not a very pretty sight.
The finished product is pleasing to the eye. Wouldn't you agree?

 BEFORE
AFTER
Can you believe the transformation? As you know, we have been renovating our new home. Actually Jason Sparks has been our best friend. I found him through a friend of mine. He has made the place beautiful. I will show you the transformation as we go along. You would be surprised what a little paint and tile can do for a room. The door to the right goes out to the garage and the door to the left goes to the backyard. The door straight ahead goes to my pantry. Wow! Its great to have a pantry.
Stayed tuned to see each room and how it has been transformed.
