Check Up Time

I am taking Landen today for his six month check up. Landen is maintaining good oral hygiene, but says that two crowns are bothering him. Come to find out under the right crown is abscessed. Yikes! He has to have a prescription called in, and another appointment to pull the tooth, and have a spacer put in until the permanent tooth comes in. Also he has a cavity in his molar. Not too good of a report, but I guess it could have been worse.

Bringing children in on a regular basis not only makes it easier to catch tooth decay in its early stages, but also helps kids view going to the dentist as a normal activity that they have no reason to be afraid of.
