Eden Park The Conservatory
Mirror Lake in Eden Park

The Conservatory known as Krohn Conservatory located in Eden Park is itself architect significant, having been built in 1933 at the height of the Art Deco era. But it's what's those aluminum and glass walls that make this Conservatory truly special.
You'd have to travel a good distance from Cincinnati to visit a rainforest and a desert. A nationally recognized showcase of 3,500 plant species from around the world.
Ever since I can remember, every year as a child we always made 2 or more visits to the Conservatory. Once at Christmas and on Easter. What a beautiful place. A Christmas tree of Pointsetta's and on Easter the Conservatory was filled with every spring bulb you can imagine in bloom. When I was older I would take Brad, and we would sail his boat on the Mirror lake. Today it cost to get in the conservatory, but it is truly worth it. I hope the tradition carrys on. What wonderful memories. Childhood is magical.

Eden Park in which the Conservatory lies, is owned and operated by the Cincinnati Park Board, and is located in Mt. Adams Community. The park began as the designation for the city's water supply, purchased in 1859. Eden park is also home to the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Art Academy and several other sites. The park comprises 186 acres and is the site of numerous overlooks of the Ohio River valley. There are groves, gardens and a gazebo. You can understand why this is one of my favorite places. This past weekend we were visiting Brad and Meagan and made a point to stop by this georgeous park.
