Exploring

Landen has a drone bee on his hand. Not to worry! Drone (male) bees do not sting, because they do not have a stinger. Isn't he brave though? The worker bees, this time of year, are thrownig out all the drones. Poor male bees. Sometimes nature can be cruel.

The praying mantis is named for it's prominent front legs, which are bent and held together at an angle that suggests the position of prayer.
Typically green or brown and well camouflaged on the plants among which they live, mantis lie in ambush or patiently stalk their quarry. Moths, crickets, flies and insects are usually the unfortunate recipients.
