When The Garden Gives In Abbundance Is It Better To Can Or Freeze?
 
To can or to freeze? That's the eternal question many home cooks face as this summer's bounty stands ready to go into storage. If you want those pretty fruits you lovingly plucked from your home garden, or from the table at the local market reappear all fresh and tasty at midwinter, you will need to decide whether they should be bagged or jared.
I prefer to can beans, beets, of course jams and jellies. I freeze corn, lima beans, butterbeans and the like. You can and freeze fruits and tomatoes. Canning is super easy to learn. You get hooked. For all these wonderful fruits and vegetables you have the opportunity to open your freezer or cupboard and you have all this wonderful bounty! Go ahead and try it.
